Yes. Genuine Kota stone comes from one small belt around Ramganj Mandi in Kota district. Every slab we sell is quarried at our own pit at Mayla, inside that belt.

Both are the same hard-wearing limestone. The choice is about colour. Blue is the classic cool grey-blue. Brown is warmer and suits earthy, traditional interiors.

Choose a textured finish, such as Lapatra or Leather, or semi-polished slabs. They keep their grip when damp. Keep mirror and high polish for dry indoor rooms, since a shiny surface gets slippery when wet.

Order 5 to 10 percent more than the floor area, to cover cutting at the edges and any breakage. The floor planner adds this for you.

Sweep, then mop with a mild, neutral cleaner. Wipe up lemon, vinegar and other acidic spills quickly, since limestone reacts with acid. A fresh machine polish every few years brings the shine back.
